Canadian Tire price tracker
Canadian Tire runs deep, short seasonal cycles — snowblowers in October are not snowblowers in March, and the same SKU can move by hundreds of dollars between them. Their catalogue is also SKU-dense: near-identical products separated by one specification and a very different price.
What counts as a variant at Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire identifies products by a hyphenated article number that appears on the page and in the URL. Size, capacity and pack count are usually separate products rather than variants of one listing, so the number is what pins down exactly which one you meant.
Copying the right link
Copy the full product URL including the digits before .html — that sequence is the article number. If you picked a store, the address may end in a #store= fragment; leave it, it does no harm.
What we can't do
- Canadian Tire blocks direct reads, so we go through a paid scraping service — this retailer needs a paid slot.
- We read the online price. Your local store's price and stock can differ.
- Triangle member and promotional pricing is not visible to us; we track the standard listed price.
How checks work
Once a product is tracked, Drophunt checks its price daily and emails you when the variant you chose drops. We don't publish price history for products nobody has asked us to watch, and we don't republish other people's price data.
